From November 14 to 16, 2024, film enthusiasts in Belgrade can explore the Serbian Film Festival of Macedonian Cinema—a three-day celebration of Macedonian film, music, and cultural bonds on the Balkans. Audiences can enjoy film screenings, discussions with renowned filmmakers like Tamara Kotevska of Honeyland, musical performances by bands like Pijan Slavej, and regional wine tastings. Hosted at UK Parobrod, the event is a collaboration of Serbian and Macedonian cultural institutions, emphasizing shared heritage and artistic connections.
"Macedonian culture, and particularly Macedonian film and music, are part of a rich heritage, where traditional and modern values intertwine in an exciting way that people in Serbia often feel as their own. This feeling arises not only from a shared socio-political past but also from the artistic ties between these regions, where culture and art serve as a connecting thread throughout the Balkans."
